Book Review #1

Sundays at Tiffany's by James Patterson
Stars: *** 1/2
Type: Fiction/Romance

Ok so, James Patterson is one of my all time favorite authors. I love his thriller books, especially anything with Alex Cross. I have been putting off reading this book for years because the thought of Patterson writing a love story almost made me sick. What a mistake I made. I wasted all this time holding a grudge that he decided to "go soft" that I almost missed out on a wonderful story.

Jane Margaux is the girl that captures your heart in this story. The child of a mother who works way too much and is much to chic to pay enough attention to her daughter. Jane subsides her loneliness by being with Michael, her imaginary friend. The only dilemma is that Michael must disappear when Jane turns nine and although it is tough for both of them, it is the rules. We follow Jane as she is a grown woman and it is very easy to relate to her personality; always giving into her mother, finding the wrong relationship and so on. Her life seems to be going nowhere until she come face to face with a man who she has known her whole life. What does this mean for her? This story takes you on a great tale of a love that is never ending.

Although this story is not realistic and based on fantasy, it is an uplifting novel that is sure to warm your heart. It is a great book, and although a bit far fetched, I definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a feel good story.

The Beginning...

I recently decided to start this blog to keep track of all of the books I have read or am reading and to review my opinion of them. You may be asking who is this chick and why the hell do I care about her opinion? I asked myself the same question but decided to go ahead with this anyway. I know that when I am looking for a new book to read, the reviews of other people help me to dcide if it would be something I'd be interested in. So let's get started and I hope you come back often to share your thoughts on any of the books I mention or to tell me I am a complete moron and my opinion sucks! Happy Reading!
